l became an official Colorado resident on January 13, 2015. I had had enough off the sub zero temperatures of Minneapolis, Minnesota and dreamed of new adventure in the wild west. Before moving I worked 6+ years as the Vice President of Operations for multiple high volume, high grossing, and highly creative restaurant concepts. I may not have liked the long and unpredictable hours, but I loved the work I did. I knew however that moving meant the opportunity to pave a new path, and to do something different with my future. I decide to take that chance. I decided to build a career doing something that I just can't seem to get enough of....PLAYING WITH PUPPIES!!

Dana

Pack Leader

Dana grew up in the mountains of Colorado always surrounded by her family dogs. She moved to Denver 2 years ago to pursue a Master's degree in Nutrition. She is not allowed to own a dog in her current apartment but has a very playful and loving cat named Tim Riggins. She enjoys cooking, traveling, camping, and hiking in the Colorado mountains. She spends as much time as she can with her niece's dog, Nova, but is looking forward to hanging out with the Poop in a Group pups!

Camilla Castro

Camilla moved to Denver 3 years ago, with her boyfriend and fur baby Luna. After they moved to Denver, they adopted their first cat and named her Nova. Camilla has a lot of experience with dogs thanks to her previous job, Happy Tails of South Jersey. She is proud of her time there and all that she learned. In addition to a dog enthusiast, Camilla is also a pastry chef! Before she moved to Denver she had her own small business called "Camibakes" Currently she bakes at home, which her pup Luna loves, as she is spoiled with home baked doggie treats. Camilla's goal is to own her own bakery shop one day.

Hee Young

Hee Young has grown up around animals her whole life. Currently she has a dog named Dory, a cat named Jerry, and two horses named Zipper and Ozwald. Dory often accompanies her on backpacking trips and hiking fourteeners. Outside of the animal-related hobbies, Hee Young enjoys rock climbing, trail running, and swimming. She recently graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering.

Yamilla

Yamilla is from Puerto Rico and has always loved animals! She lived in the country with a lot of land which allowed her to have a wide array of pets. Yamilla grew up with dogs, cats, horses, geese, chickens, rabbits, and even a snake. She volunteers at an animal shelter and has worked many summer jobs in a vet's office in the past. Currently she has two beautiful cats: Luna and Cali, along with a handsome doggie, Bori! Yamilla is very active. She loves dancing, going hiking, and just being outside in general. Her other job is in the field of Chiropractic and Nutrition.

Amanda

Amanda recently moved to Denver from Austin Texas with her two rescued kittens Milo and Luca. She is originally from Hilton Head South Carolina. She has volunteered at animal shelters since she was a teenager. While living in Austin, she was apart of Austin Pets Alive Rescue (the largest no kill shelter in the country). There she helped rescue tens of thousands of lost pets and animals after the Hurricane Harvey disaster of 2017. Most recently, she was a recipient of "The GR Gives Award" presented to her from the property management company she currently works for. It was given to her to celebrate her dedication to volunteering. She plans to help open a no kill shelter here in Denver someday. She can't wait to share her passion for all things animals with your precious fur baby.

Alexia

I was born in Mexico and moved to Colorado about 17 years ago so you can say I'm a native. I grew up around all kinds of animals from cows, horses and goats to cats, dogs, bunnies and reptiles. I currently have 5 amazing doggies named Dolce, Coco, Curly, Grisa and Luna. Although they're mostly couch potatoes we like to go on long park walks, hikes and occasionally lake adventures. It has always been my dream to work and help animals, so I finally decided to follow my dream and pursue a career in animal care where I feel I belong.

Kimberly

Kimberly grew up in the northwest suburbs of the Windy City, Chicago. After studying Psychology at Indiana University, having never backpacked in her life, she decided to hike the Appalachian Trail with her husky shepherd mix. Together they hiked from Virginia to Maine spending five and a half months living in the woods. It was here that she fell in love with the mountains and knew she needed to retire from the flat lands of the Midwest. Kimberly moved to Colorado in 2016 for an AmeriCorps position doing trail maintenance and now calls Denver home. She has been walking dogs for three years and is excited to join the Poop In A Group community. When Kimberly isn't walking dogs, she enjoys hiking, doing yoga, making art, and spending time with her recently adopted puppy.

Emily

Pack Leader

Emily grew up in Colorado Springs but has spent the better part of the past 13 years living in Oregon and Massachusetts. She volunteered at the MSPCA animal shelter in Boston and now that she is back in Colorado with her husband and their cat Poppy, she is happy to have another job working with animals. She also loves the outdoors and is happy to be back in the Colorado sunshine! In addition to walking your pups, Emily owns her own business doing calligraphy and stationery design, don't let her handwriting on your comment cards fool you, she is much better when given more time! Emily is very happy to be apart of the Poop in a Group team!

Krissy

Krissy was born and raised in Arvada, Colorado and has always been surrounded by animals. She attended the University of Northern Colorado where she received a bachelors degree in Geography. She had her first dog adoption experience while in college. Krissy has a love for all animals and has even taken care of horses, goats, alpaca, and chickens as well as dogs and cats. Someday she would like to have her own farm with many animals. She loves to hike and spend time outdoors. Krissy currently lives with her husband, their dog Larry, two turtles (Biggie and Squirt), and multiple fish tanks.

Marika

Pack Leader

Growing up, Marika has always been surrounded by animals of all sizes! Ranging from chickens to horses. Having worked as a horseback trail guide and walking dogs for a while now, Marika strives to bring the best possible experience and care for your loved ones. She has two wonderful cats by the names of Snuggles and Pumkin (spelled incorrectly on purpose). As a recent graduate from CU Denver, with two bachelors degrees in Communication and Ethnic Studies, Marika continues to work hard for that which she values and will soon be pursuing a masters degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Besides that, you can find her playing volleyball, kickball, camping, or reading a good book.

Lauren

Lauren grew up south of Denver with many furry siblings, including a Great Dane and two Irish Wolfhounds. She is currently earning a Computer Science degree from the University of Colorado at Denver, and enjoys describing abstract concepts to her rescue kitty, Aja. When she's not studying, Lauren loves trail running, reading, and knitting socks. She wishes she could have a dog in her apartment, but must resort to loving on other people's pups!

Rocky

Pack Leader

Rocky is a natural fit for working with animals. Born in Tennessee, but spent most of her younger years in Texas and in North Carolina. Her family has always owned dogs and treated them as part of the family. At a young age, she helped her mom rescue an abandoned puppy. There are lots of happy stories and memories associated with the two family dogs. During college in Charleston, SC, Rocky continued to show her love of animals by volunteering at the local ASPCA. She graduated with a degree in Pastry Arts, and her career has taken her all over the country. The constant in her life has always been her animals. She moved here 2 years ago and considers her 3 dogs and cat her family, making room for her significant other too! Sometimes her husband jokes that she loves the animals more than him! In her spare time Rocky loves to sew and has her own sewing studio.

Jessica

Pack Leader

Jessica moved to Colorado from California when she was quite young. She grew up in the mountains with her two family dogs, Missy and Max. She studied and practice agility training with these dogs for a few years and feel this is what sparked the passion of working with dogs. Jessica currently spends her days with her two Siberian huskies, Shasta and Glade. She enjoys working with her dogs and including them in activities such as skiing, dog sledding, and hiking. Jessica enjoys the outdoors and spends most of her free time exploring the mountains. Her previous work experience with Chuck and Don's pet food store has given her a wealth of knowledge concerning animal nutrition and behavior. She is currently in college full time for business and her ultimate goal is to own a small raw dog food company. She is grateful to be able to build upon her education and spend her days with dogs!

Evelyn

Pack Leader

Evelyn was born and raised in Easton, Maryland. She moved to Denver in January 2018. She has been surrounded by pups and pets her entire life. She has her associates degree in science and studied early childhood development. She currently runs her own business, Kinetic Spinners, a fire dancing/performance art troop that performs shows throughout Denver. She plans to go back to school in 2020 to get a degree in Business. When she's not walking pups or performing she loves hula hooping and hiking in her spare time. Evelyn is so excited to be a part of PIAG and can't wait to meet your PIAG pet!

Chandler

Hello, I'm Chandler, or better known as a very outgoing circus clown. I love all things adventures and the great outdoors. When I am not loving on animals you can find me spinning hula hoops or dressed up in costume performing somewhere! I enjoy playing the piano & I am currently pursuing teaching on the side.
